At Carpentaria Marine Services it’s our mission to provide high-quality, specialist marine services for every project. We know the marine and land environments we conduct our work in are sensitive and unique, requiring a strong commitment to environmental protection. To support us in our mission to achieve zero incidents and impacts across areas of operation, whilst maintaining quality work completed to the highest standards, we have implemented a Quality Management System and Policy and Environmental Management System accredited to AS/NZ 9001 and AS/NZ ISO 14001 standards. These systems are tailored to address the unique requirements of our operation and its specialist marine services, and are regularly reviewed and audited to ensure compliance.
Our Quality Management System and Policy is accredited to AS/NZ ISO 9001 and features several key principles, including the below.
Our Environmental Management System is accredited to AS/NZ ISO 14001 standards, and features several key principles aimed at safeguarding the environment. These focus on preventing pollution, minimising adverse impacts and protecting natural resources, while promoting the reuse and recycling of materials wherever possible. We are committed to meeting and/or exceeding all relevant legislation, regulation and codes of best practice and set specific environmental objectives and targets, which align with our business activities. Prior to commencing work, every project we participate in undergoes a detailed evaluation, and a project-specific Environmental Management Plan (EMP) is developed and maintained throughout the operation. Each team member has clearly defined responsibilities, based on their role and activities. We also ensure all personnel and subcontractors respect the environment, including the rights of local communities and the preservation of cultural and heritage sites.
